Again this season, on Sunday November 23, Spiritus will present ‘A Candlelight Messiah.’ There are many ways to perform Handel’s masterpiece. Our approach is to try to make this an experience that combines beauty, drama, majesty and intimacy.

Spiritus Ensemble’s first performance of its 2025-26 season, on Sunday, September 28, is a Bach Vespers for New Year’s Day. The cantata is number 190, Singet dem Herrn ein neues Lied (Sing to the Lord a new song).
